A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the borough of Rochdale’s first ever Pride. Rochdale in Rainbows was only possible thanks to the brilliant people who worked hard to make it happen. Here’s what happened during the fortnight… 🌈

Then it was over to the Pioneers Museum for an arts workshop with brilliant Zoe from Hopwood Hall College. Students created an amazing background the celebration event the week after. 🌈

We kicked off with the raising of the rainbow flag (on a very still day!) in Middleton, it was great to see new faces and to be able to cross one of the LGBT+ crossings to get there. 🌈

The first day ended with First Time. 's hilarious and heartbreaking autobiographical show was followed by a question and answer session about how HIV programmes in the borough are aiming to increase early diagnosis. 🌈

Talking of the town hall, it was lit up in a rainbow for the Christmas lights switch on. Doesn’t it look lovely! 🌈
