Peas ‘Ezetas krombek blauwschokker’ sown in the Kitchen Garden in mid July as a second crop after our early peas. This delicious crop had its 1st pick last week and there'll be many more to come until it starts to get really cold!

Bay-Spiked Pears with Shallots and Lemon. This autumnal side dish is a great addition to your next family roast and is a great way to utilise this ambrosial fruit when it is slightly under ripe.

I was watching old episodes and came across the one where Hugh, Tim and Gill made their own version of Findus Crispy Pancakes. Inspired I made a salmon and prawn version for my kids. A hit!!

A sneak peek at some of the (I'm sure) delicious, if somewhat indiscernible, foraged ingredients is presenting to our audience this evening. We can't wait to hear/taste more.

So I got an email from offering me a Wellness Retreat. Perfect, I thought, how bloody lovely to do that. Except ..£1600 per person for 4 nights! Who could actually afford that? That's a Two week holiday at least!

Check out our Taste of Autumn event . This really is a “taste of ” - it’s about what we do, what we stand for, the finest food we can harvest, forage, preserve & make. It's going to be a truly special event - I can’t wait!

Did you know that in March you have a two week period to harvest birch water, by tapping birch trees? Leave it overnight you have get 4lts from one tree. It's a bit pointless apparently, according to but it will be the nicest tasting water!
