Another way to honor Fannie Lou Hamer: Restore the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Hamer’s name is in the title of the 2006 reauthorization of the VRA, which passed unanimously in the Senate and overwhelmingly in the House. 2020 must be the year the VRA is restored.
