I think being a has everything to do with communicating beyond the Ivory Tower, using what we do to make a contribution to something more than the academic conversation. And being responsible to the public that funds us, when that is the case.

Tenure and promotion level four success! Just received the yes vote with an incredibly supportive and detailed letter for tenure and promotion from the Dean. On to the next round. UCF is clearly the right place to be for public scholars.

Whole point of getting my was to serve the people/community. I think I'm doing good. Teaching and writing getting published and while they're not "academic" pubs I've had a good circulation with and freelancing so I'll stay in my lane ✊🏽
