Margaret was spoiled, snobby, petulant and arrogant. But she was THE female rebel of The Royals until Diana came along. She has a fascinating life story and honestly I don't think I'll ever tire of documentaries & reading about her.

I've just watched the first episode of : The Rebel Royal because I've always liked her. It will be the last. The continue to prove what utter shite they are. The programme was pompous, arrogant, totally irreverent, crass, common and fucking distasteful.

🎶Je t’attendrai chez moi...🎶 omg, Roddy Llewellyn singing in French, love this show. Think there are only 2 eps, but feels like an (epic) ten episode special... on

For god's sake, how could someone who had never done a day's work in their life be a "role model for young women"?

documentary oddly reminds me of my Mum and her two sisters. They all lived a bit in the 60s.

When Princess Margaret visited Jamaica in 1955 an edict was issued saying she would not dance with any black men, such was the racism of our recent colonial past. Noel Coward who lived there was, to his credit, outraged by this.

well whoever has written this clearly has their eye on some form of "recognition" for it-only pertinent comment is that if she married Townsend she would be beneath her and loose her privileges/status!

But Tony was a commoner and she didn't lose anything when she married him. Trouble was, Townsend was a /divorcee/, and the Queen as the head of the church, cdn't be seen to condone divorce. Set a bad example.

Margaret bore an uncanny resemblance to Elizabeth in the black and white footage.

What a fascinating programme this is! I can see why my Dad was never a fan of the monarchy!

Another brilliant programme on Princess Margaret: The Rebel Royal. Sad about the chauffeur who was pretty much told to pack his bags and subsequently left jobless after her death
