Sadly, had some hateful homophobic abuse shouted at us this morning that my boyfriend and I ‘should both be shot’. This is why Pride still matters. So redressing the balance on here with this pic 🏳️‍🌈

Don’t be like Matt. Matt lives his life based on a deep-rooted feeling & learned belief that his life as a gay person is less valid & worthwhile than that of a straight person. Be loud. Be proud. Make a scene. Don’t be like . + 🏳️‍🌈

I would just like to share my support and respect for everyone who works or volunteers with Having worked closely with you on many occasions I've seen how hard you all work, and sometimes battle, to ensure you deliver an inclusive Pride for everyone.

Just to update you Matt: No straight, heterosexual or cisgender person ever got murdered or beaten up or correctively raped for being straight, heterosexual or cisgender. Hope this helps you understand why , and what its significance is to the movement.

I went to my first pride a year ago (thanks to @atwriley+@jcollieruk), I’d only come out as bi to a few friends, the atmosphere of pride + great friends meant- a year later - I am out to all my friends and family and to have a pretty awesome gf too.

Cried after people who mean a lot to me acknowledged all the hard work. We celebrated this by showing the 171 core volunteers at Piccadilly Circus. Today has been about reflection. We saw Pride is still a protest. Come a long way but still a way to go

Look at this. It’s the LGBT community marching together, united. A celebration, sending a message that hate, lies & fear-mongering will never divide us. always. Even if there’s hateful ****s trying to get in the way

I don't know about you but for me, is cancelled. He is a perfect case of what heteronormative cisgendered person always gets away with. It's toxic.

This is exactly why Pride is still very important. I'm hoping to march with Stonewall again this year.
