We want to reduce new HIV diagnoses in Ireland. The introduction of a PrEP programme, coupled with increased testing and greater awareness will help us to reduce the number of people contracting HIV.

An Irish programme could see 173 new infections averted. 1700 people likely to join in year 1 alone. A fantastic move in However, government must not just fund drug but significantly invest in sexual health services. We can’t have one without the other!

1/13 A group called “AIDS Healthcare Foundation” - a pariah among advocates - is a chain pharmacy & insurance company masquerading as a nonprofit. AHF opposes , funds anti-housing NIMBY groups, & uses HIV healthcare funds for politics. AHF has zero credibility.

The HIQA report has said what activists have been saying for years. is safe and highly effective and saves money. However a PrEP programme needs a fully funded and accessible sexual health services to deliver that programme. Govt and HSE to invest these services.

That may be true but I also heard in California there is a rise with Chlamydia. I think is great but we also need to remember that STIs are still out there. Condoms help prevent that but will block you if you bring that up.
