What do you think about this Waratah seedling? The reddish discolouration is due to the cold but that gold leaf margin and venation, let’s hope that’s stable!

Fruit so far from three random F1s with my more advanced miniature line as the seed parent. The pollen parents? Not sure (thanks to the bees), but the only nearby plants had orange and black(blue) fruit. The F2s will be fun.

Three new potato onion varieties I'm multiplying up. Eventually I'll have enough to taste them, but their scents suggest one is very sweet & another is very pungent. The one with only two bulbs interests me the most. Its bulbs crawl sideways via contractile roots.

I have ideas of how I might breed up a distinctly orange dry bean, but it will have to come down to doing the experiments. I haven't found enough research into dry bean colors to make clear predictions. If I'm lucky, it will take less time than the blues did.

Cut fruit from two sibling tomato plants (D2-2 & D2-3). Most red tomatoes have some flavor compound that I really don't like. Last year a red turned up in one of my lines that didn't have this flavor compound. These reds were the best tasting I have ever had.

6 pale yellow fruit from my first finalized tomato variety. They have very thick fruit walls, with a sweet and mildly tart taste, and a creamy texture when eaten.
