I've been back here a week and I'm already tired. I really wish I didn't feel the need to say yes to swaps every time I'm asked. I was off yesterday, asked to work a couple of hours in the afternoon which I did, off today, on tomorrow, off Thursday. I can't relax.

Got to work @ 7.55am yesterday + left @ 10.30pm. We were short staffed, locum let us down, had 14 inpatients, and then had to GA a dog at 7.30pm with a grass seed in his nose. Then when I did get home I realised the DD key was in my pocket + had to go back!

Walked into my night shift to find a patient in status and two emergency stitch ups..... Wouldn't be fun if you knew what you were walking in to

When you pray to the god of drips that the cannula is definitely in that vein and that your colleagues don’t arrive into work tomorrow morning to a doggy with a blown leg 😖😖😖😖🤞🏻🤞🏻

Recommendations for gps cat trackers please! My cat refuses to come in during the night now and I'd love to see where he is sneaking off to!

This happened six years ago today. Don’t ever let anyone tell you it’s too late to start again or you won’t be able to do it. Anything is possible if you want it badly enough.

My heart sunk today to hear of a company recommending using a large DR detector for vet X-ray as you can then 'examine several body parts in one shot' Such bad technique, can lead to misdiagnosis, and really poor to recommend!

Interesting conversation about specificity in Vet CT scanning Very few people would run all possible blood tests ‘in case they missed something’ So why do a whole body CT? As too much risk of false results The more specific you are the better the clinical outcome

When you have a late shift one day and an early start the next so just stay at work to sleep... plus side is I have pizza and all the snacks! #1355

I took a slice of pizza and a cake for a dog pts today and he went off wagging his tail and loving his snacks ... hard bit of the job but every dog deserves a good munch and a cuddle and being told they are the best boy or girl 😣🐾
