Ok, I know that I've hit you guys with a couple shots of the Duquesne Incline in the last 24 hours, but the views have been insane. This morning the fog lingered a long around the city, and when the sun finally rose above it, well...damn.

Back to the fog from today in because, well, it was incredible. I got there early enough that the fog was still covering the entire city, but about an hour later it began to thin out, with the Point and Ft. Pitt Bridge visible as well. Made for some unique scenes.

Tonight I headed back into , as downtown is lit up for Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, and the skyline looking even more incredible than usual. The purple, teal and green buildings really stood out against the rest of the city, creating some beautiful scenes.

Even though I shot hundreds of frames of the fog in today, THIS is the image that I went into town to capture. I shot this view of the Tufa Bridge in Schenley Park in the summer, and I couldn't wait to get back in the fall. The scene looked even better than I'd hoped.

I don't spend a lot of time capturing in the late afternoon, but today I decided to run into town after getting done with my day job (which is not photography), and my goodness...it couldn't have been a more picture perfect fall day.

What. A. Morning. I don't know where to start. The fog in was just ridiculous and I was downtown at 4 to start chasing it. Figured I'd just start with that classic view from the incline, with the fog draped around the city. Some of the coolest fog I've ever shot.

Another view from Sunday's beautiful sunrise in to brighten up this dreary morning. When the sun finally made its way above the city, I scrambled to find a few ways to frame the scene using the foliage on the hillside, and this one couldn't have worked out much better

Figured I'd share a collection of yesterday's incredible sunrise in to brighten up the dreary weather outside. The way the sky transformed in the hour before the sun came up was interesting to watch and even more fun to capture. Still have a bunch to share as well.

One of my favorite fall images to capture in & today was the perfect day for it. The golden sunlight hitting Mt. Washington made the warm tones really pop, providing a striking backdrop for the Ft. Pitt Bridge. The colors in Point State Park are near peak as well.

Every year I miss the peak color of these trees along the North Shore of so this year I went down every day for a week. It was worth the trips, as last week the color & weather coordinated to create a very Central Park-esque scene. Needed a 12 shot pano to capture it.

I wanted to sleep in today after 10 hours in the car yesterday. I really did. But there was a crescent moonrise & sunrise was supposed to be decent, so I headed into . It was well worth it. The moon looked amazing behind the Cathedral & sunrise was fire. More to come.

A few weeks ago I shared a view of these trees at the entrance to Tranquil Trail at Frick Park in from after sunrise. This view, taken much earlier that morning, shows those same trees contrasting beautifully with the deep blue predawn sky, complete with a few stars.

A lot of times we (myself included) get so caught up in the wide angle views of fall landscapes that we forget about the tiny details. This morning I spent some time at the Point in , capturing some of those details in leaves brought down by the rain. Was a lot of fun.

Yesterday after work I took a little trip into , as the clouds and blue sky couldn't have been more photogenic. It ended up being the perfect Mr. Rogers-esque fall day, and these are two of my favorite shots. Can't wait for that incline shot when all the leaves change.

What a perfect sunrise for a Steeler football Sunday. First there was incredibly vibrant color over (which I'll share later) and then the sun rose directly behind PPG Place as rays of light cut through the silhouette of the city, creating this black and gold scene.

Another Saturday, another foggy morning in . I was busy today, chasing the little bit of fog there was all around the city before heading down below it under the West End Bridge. The way the sun lit up the fog with the steam coming off the river was incredible.
