Does anyone else draft emails before adding the email address in fear that you might accidentally send it incomplete? 😣

I always used to be a confident person but during the PhD my self-confidence was shattered and now I constantly doubt myself and my abilities. I miss the person I used to be. Now it’s time to rebuild my confidence again.

I plan on dedicating my entire dissertation to my cat. She’s the only one who has seen me struggle, loved me unconditionally and forced me to grow as a person during this process 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

The truth is, on nearing the end of my PhD my passion for studying is depleted & a little bruised. Can anyone recommend how to reignite one's love for the past? Any good books - nonfiction &/or historical fiction? Movies? Galleries? Events? Blogs?

People are relieved when I share my scientific mistakes because they've been too embarrassed to admit their own. That's how you know there's something wrong with our culture. Stop walking around like you haven't fucked up an experiment before.

I really admire individuals who are open about gaps in knowledge and seek out how to grow. Pretending you know everything stunts your growth and does not serve you, yet trainees in always feel pressured to do this 🤦‍♀️
