In years past, I’d say “It’s just a hurricane, we’re used to it as Floridians”.... but not this time. We’re still recovering from Hurricane Michael, a devastating category 5 that the rest of the nation forgot about. But Bay County didn’t forget. Prepare yourself.

Unfortunately, the “it’s just a hurricane” will be the mind set of a lot of people. Please always be over-prepared. What the people of the Panhandle had to go through last year, and still are, is horrific.

now forecast to make landfall as a Cat 4. This makes me so uneasy. After going through Hurricane Michael (cat 5) last October, take it from me to take this seriously. These storms are so unpredictable. To my family - STAY VIGILANT.

Shame on you over 6 months and no disaster relief bill for the Panhandle of Florida. Cat 5, stronger than Katrina, that only took 10 days.

Nearly three months have passed since Michael. The Panama City Marina still in tatters. It seems everyday storm damage catches my eye that I had not seen before.
