Postpartum depression is scary. Getting help is scary. But getting help is important. For you and your babies. And it’s okay if help includes medication. Check on your mom friends y’all, sometimes were really not doing okay.

Thank you, Dr. Jennifer Payne: most psych meds are SAFE during pregnancy, and exposure to ILLNESS is associated with poor outcomes! We do NOT treat other illnesses this way during pregnancy: STIMGA.

I wish I had this reminder back in 2014 while suffering from when my therapist suggested I practice "self care" through diet & exercise. Losing baby weight under the pretense of self care led to a diagnosis of anorexia. If a mom is depressed, don't make her body a scapegoat!

I wish I had realized this when was tiny. After an that took her to the , I had horrible . My milk was barely coming in, I needed to be on antidepressants, and she didn’t have a good latch. My husband was amazing in this time
