We are currently being evacuated due to an approaching wild fire. I’m at a loss as to what to do. The eerie quiet, the orange glow on the horizon and smell of smoke. Hoping we are able to get to safety south of the blazes. Please think of us.

Big takeaways from presser: - Salem-area fires are expected to merge. - evacs in Portland metro is possible - decent # of ppl fighting fires are students - we need MIN 2x the ppl power - have requested aid from DoD - WH hasn’t returned call.

How the fuck can the west coast be literally burning to the ground and yet every news channel is stuck on 911 memory lane? Yes. 911 is important but this 911 is HAPPENING NOW. if the media can cover the Portland riots it can damn sure cover the fires. Fuck!

We have officially evacuated. My cats are in the car along with the few things we could pack. Keeping other Oregonians in my thoughts as they also evacuate and flee the fires.

To understand just how bad the air is in Oregon right now, here's how the air quality index works. Anything over 300 is Hazardous. My town hasn't been under 300 since Monday. Two days ago we hit a staggering 800.

My state is burning. Not one word of concern or action of aide from our “president”. But you know who HAS done something to help? Mexico! Thank you Mexico for sending help in the way of firefighters. Our state is forever grateful ❤️
