MPS Specials Oct 26
Last night saw our Charlton Vehicle Enforcement Team MSC out on patrol last night.. in 7 hours, they managed to seize 8 vehicles for no insurance/not in accordance with a DL. Here are 3 of the seizures below!

Police called to vehicle which had run out of fuel on A14 Turns out fuel wasn’t the thing missing... it also lacked tyre tread & insurance Vehicle seized & TOR issued As a new driver (under 2 yrs) driver now risks being returned to provisional status #109

The driver of this van failed to renew their insurance policy in June and they have been driving without any insurance since. The vehicle has been seized and the driver will receive 6 points and a £300 fine

Got some abuse this evening whilst seizing an Uninsured Vehicle. A Passing Member of the public couldn’t understand the consequences of a Uninsured Vehicle being on the road. I hope that they never have to deal with being hit by an Uninsured Driver.

Today we are launching a week long operation targeting uninsured drivers. An estimated 1million drivers on UK roads are uninsured accounting to an estimated annual cost of £400million. The minimum fine for an offence is £300 & 6 penalty points.

It is estimated 40,000 uninsured drivers are using Scotland's roads. Are you still paying your premiums each month? Defaulting on payments will result in your policy being cancelled by your insurance company

I then stopped this near Policy expired yesterday after driver decided not to auto-renew. confirmed uninsured. I allowed the driver to obtain insurance at the roadside due to the her infant child being in the car

A checksite set up in Derby for 40 minutes bearing plenty of fruit. Scaffold van - cord exposed on a tyre and no insurance. Astra - loose battery and positive for cocaine. Connect - provisional licence holder and misuse of stickers.

This van was stopped in Send after flagging on our ANPR for having no insurance. It turns out the policy was cancelled in May. The driver has been prosecuted and the vehicle has been seized

Stopped by on Chorley Old Road Bolton. After a long debate about insurance we gave the driver the following advice "Dont rely on a Chap on Facebook to Insure your Car and give him money expecting to have a valid policy" driver reported + car seized
