After seeing , I want to do a film set in 1955 that follows two Black Men (a Pullman Porter and WWII soldier) visiting Money, Mississippi. They go to juke joints, kick John Wayne’s ass, meet Mose Wright, and save the life of Emmett Till.

After a second viewing of , I appreciate it a lot more. It’s still a bit too long and self-indulgent. But the pacing felt smoother, the story felt more cohesive, and Tarantino’s filmmaking sensibilities were more apparent. Also DiCaprio is on another level.
