Yesterday a patient asked one of the nurses if he could be taken outside to smoke as he was feeling very tense and anxious and he was told he couldn’t because this is a non smoking hospital. Thoughts?

Today, a 4 yr old client with significant trauma history, truly engaged. Robust convo, bright eyed, calm body. Ended our time with “I have to go play now. High five. Let’s be friends.”It took a year. Worth it.
