I quit a job I loved. The patients vulnerable, RN-pt ratios were twice what had been promised at hiring. Staff running on fumes. Supervisor told me, “it’s the way it is, you’ve got to be tougher.” For my health, I left. A week ago a colleague died by suicide.

Name something you learned in that you still haven’t quite mastered. I’ll start. Folding fitted sheets.

I work with some of the best nurses ever. But I know people in nursing who aren’t always nice. I’ve felt spoken down to & pushed out by those in nursing. And it’s not right. Let’s just be nice to each other. Our profession is under enough stress as it is.

Hey , what’s and oddly satisfying aspect of your job? For me: Dressing wounds and having crisp and clean dressings, Tidying up a cluttered patient room, and having a clean after a long bed bath.

"You've got... juices on you" "Oh it's fine, it's just blood." When blood is the least gross kind of juice you get covered in at work.

2/2. I would never go to your place of employment and comment how you look. I pride myself in being a professional. How about you give me the same respect and treat me as such.
