Assisted in Chelmsford high Street with a drugs prevention operation, one male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, one male arrested for assault on police by spitting kicking, had to be restrained and placed in a cell van for transportation. .

8 youths arrested following serious disorder in last night. 2 officers required medical treatment for injuries sustained after being attacked. Both thankfully OK & discharged from hospital. Disgusted at the level of violence shown towards my cops.

Assaults on officers over the last couple of days have included an offender gouging the eyes of two officers; an offender headbutting an officer causing a nosebleed; a kick to the chest of an officer & threats of serious violence.
