ILLUSTRATION PRICING SURVEY RESULTS... In this survey I looked into a number of factors which influence illustration fees. I also gained some really interesting insight from commissioners of illustration too. Hope this opens more discussion.

3 years ago when I officially started out as an illustrator, my biggest stress point was not a creative one, but the financials of it all. Once I got that sorted out I felt like I could do anything ☺️. Today I’m doing my taxes for the 3rd year💪 💁🏻‍♀️💶💶💶

Proud to be an Olympian. We were able to persevere, manage fouls, and finish against a very good basketball team. Lady O’s take down Tamaqua 55-49. Searfoss leads the way with a career high 28. Smelas throws in 14. Both of them pulled down 9 rebounds.

Dear massive companies who should know better - please stop using ‘competitions’ as an excuse to ask illustrators to work for free/low pay and give up the copyright to their work. Sincerely, Every Illustrator Ever

It’s always baffling when illustrators try to justify the exploitation of other illustrators. A competition where you create work and then have to pay for the chance to be paid for the work you’ve created, is not ok.

When a brand gets in touch about a collaboration and spends ages listing their social media followings... I reply asking about a contract and payment and hear nothing... illustration is I don’t care how many followers you have I can’t make a living if no one pays!!! 🙄

The awkward moment when you say no to a job because the fee is a joke for anyone....and you can see by the work on a mutuals feed that they took that exact low paying job on... 😖😓 Illustration is - don't get short changed!
