How many more years of languishing on a frozen waitlist? Will we get a budget we can’t spend due to being Francophone & living in a small town?

I agree, they are making a show of “listening” until the federal election is over. I’m not holding my breath and sadly won’t be surprised if we end up being stuck with this farce of an OAP.

While it is refreshing that meets with autism parents, ( never did), it’s insulting that you are applauding him for stalling on the roll-out of . Our kids are suffering and you all are playing politics with their future.

What on earth can take so long to implement a Needs Based OAP? Talk, talk , talk, enough already. Get these kids and adults the hell they need.

I’m not able to attend the ‘listening tour’ today. But I did attend 2 round tables hosted by my MPP, where I had to share my struggles & cry in front of complete strangers. Please wrap up the listening tour & finalize a needs-based program!

So I’m to drive to Scarborough mid-morning to say what you should already know? Pls.🙄How many reports need to sit in front of you on your desk? How many phone calls, emails, protests, consultations need to happen before you stop stalling and do what is RIGHT?

18 months ago, she was largely non-verbal. Her play consisted of pacing and moving objects around. She accessed privately funded ABA based on need, and today she’s gearing up for a career at the Ottawa where her great aunt volunteered for years.

Happy to see you finally met with some Grey Bruce families . Wish this would have been publicly announced before hand though - I believe there are many many families who had no idea.

My older one woke up w/ swollen cheek (suspected Tonsillitis). Thank you to , he could tell me it’s a little hurt, let me check & asked for hug. He will cooperate when we go to doctor. All these didn’t happen in the past

I am so proud to be part of the we got all 7 cities in region who gave us support due to the terrible changes made to the OAP. I am so proud of us-we are just parents who know that is the only way our children can thrive. WAY TO GO CREW!
