My writing groups are a support and encourage me in my work. Friends on Kidlit Authors of Color , etc. As a teacher, my students also inspire me! I write with them during and they give me feedback. We're a writing community!

So, it took me around a couple hours longer than expected but I did it. I reached the full quota. Now I'll check out some blender tutorials so I can ready for home-classes for college but I'll definitely work on the stories some more.

I'm setting some project goals! I really like the trackers and graphs, so I'm using the site to give myself a 70k (and finished draft 🤞) goal by mid-October. I already know I have a TON of reworking to do on the first act, so I really want to knuckle down.

Turns out doing Camp NaNoWriMo as a binge writer is...messy and looks like finishing your goal at 9pm the last day of July. But first time I've ever actually completed my monthly goal!

Sigh. I did it! Wrote 50K in 27 days. And by the looks of things, I have another 10K to write before the story is finished and all the blanks are filled in. Wish me luck?

Well, I did it guys! I stayed well above par most of the month until this past week, where I remained under par for, well, the whole week. Finally finished my goal with a total of 25,142 words.

422 words today! Over 200 yesterday. After 3 weeks of expert procrastination. I’ve finally stopped chasing the word count and started chasing the story quality. As much as I love a , I was getting overwhelmed by my fast drafting. Need to slow to breathe.
