.⁦⁩ says the massive Currowan Fire is now officially contained. It burnt more than 313,000 ha of the south coast and went for 53 days. There is still some hot spot activity around Kangaroo Valley

69 fires contiune to burn in NSW with 20 to be contained. Firefighters have worked tirelessly to slow the spread of fire and build containment lines ahead of increased fire dangers. Hot and windy conditions are expected to return to many parts of NSW this week.

As of 8:30am this morning, 85 bush and grass fires are burning across the state, with 30 to be contained. All fires are at Advice. We are starting to see some good falls across some firegrounds. Lets hope some of our farmers are also getting some moisture.

A big thank you to for housing our 737 LAT today at Sydney Airport to give her a much-needed mechanical check and clean. 'Marie Bashir' has completed 442 drops so far this season, which equates to over 6million litres of water, gel & retardant!
