Scots Bay, Kings Co., NS: heavy snow squalls late last evening and overnight dumped 13 to 15 cm in the community.

Snow squalls expected to develop Pictou, Inverness, Colchester, Cumberland, Antigonish counties. Visibilities will be significantly reduced, snow will quickly accumulate. Conditions are forecast to persist tonight, then improve Thursday morning.

System tracking into the Maritimes on Monday is one to watch. Snow looking likely for New Brunswick, with some uncertainty for Nova Scotia. Ultimately, the track of low will be key as to who sees a snow/rain mix and who sees snow. Stay tuned for updates.

Onshore flurries & snow squalls look set to drop generally 2-5 cm but up to 10 cm of snow locally, from Inverness county in Cape Breton & along the Northumberland shoreline of Nova Scotia through tonight. A trace to 2 cm possible for much of mainland Nova Scotia.
