First Chapter Fridays! Encourage teachers to choose books (do some recommendations!) & read the 1st chapter aloud to classes. Great attention getter..even better, excellent classroom/library collaboration!

Peer editing doesn’t work. Kids aren’t grammar masters. Peer REVISION on the other hand is effective bc it creates a REAL audience to write for rather than just writing for the teacher.
