And, yes... I do think that all genders have distanced themselves from a professional kitchen career due to the very real perception, based on very real evidence, of the dehumanising environment they will encounter. I applaud and for efforts to effect change.

Yes judging is all done anonymously from the entries we receive and we always encourage entries from female chefs. The Guild is always keen to see more female chefs push themselves into the spotlight through this competition.
