Ahh, old stairs: worn by centuries of feet and a little grubby from all the history! We've counted 52 for the two main stairs in our museum: but there are in fact another 25 hidden steps you'll only ever trek up and down if you're behind the scenes!

Hidden away in our stores is a large collection of spirit specimens, also known as fluid specimens: in other words lots of things kept in ! From tiny fishies and spiders to full size birds and small mammals. They were collected and preserved for science.
