Miguel Angel Lopez was the fastest rider today on Mortirolo: 44 min 38 sec! One of the best times post-1999 but 3 minutes slower than the all-time record. 😬Impressive ascent also by Ciccone and Hirt from the breakaway! 👍

. Made it but that climb is mad. I think I finally found the road to hell. It’s a wall! From Mazzo di Valtellina, no other climb that I’ve experienced comes anywhere near it. It’s in a league of its own. Never has 10% been so welcoming!

Okay, so tomorrow is the last climb of the challenge and it’s a complete beast. It’s the from Mazzo di Valtellina. Only 7.7 miles but in that time you climb nearly 4500 ft. Average gradient is 10% maxing at 18%. It’s all in the mind, right? Hope so. Soon find out!
