We are doing a good job of but how about mental illness? Mental health isn't a problem, we all have it, it's a neutral thing. Mental illness costs lives. In order to move forwards as society we need to understand mental illness as well as mental health.

I've spent hours and hours crying to people; head down, confused, lost, withdrawn, weak. Having the presence of someone beside you, not to solve your problems but to sit by your side, makes a world of difference. Reach a hand into the darkness. 🤝

On the 3rd of December 2015, I hit a critical point with my mental health as I tried to take my own life. All I can say now is that it’s not worth putting yourself through all that pain, there’s always other options, always gonna be someone there. ❤️

Eight years ago I hit rock bottom. It was rescuing this long forgotten garden in Snowdonia that helped me heal. Never underestimate the therapeutic power of gardening

can be a devastating disorder. So before you point fingers and make fun of the kid with missing hair, learn the reason why. Then be of support not add to their distress.

📍 Du'a for Depression and Suicidal thoughts The rate of suicide is very alarming specially that it exist in Muslim community. Saddest wave of suicide this week happened in Masjid Al-Haram during Taraweh. May Allāh grant us good endings.

Please don't judge people. You don't know what it took someone to get out of bed to face Sunday 10th June 2018. You never truly know the struggles of others behind their physical presence.

Your brain doesn’t do what’s best, it does what’s easiest. 💫 Next time you have that negative thought, ask yourself is this what’s best?

Anxiety is a full-time job. There is no holiday, no fixed working hours, and certainly no quitting. You also don't get paid.

I firmly believe that every single person on the planet would benefit from seeing some sort of mental health professional/ therapist/ counselor. Everybody needs somebody to talk to so let’s end the judgement towards that real quick.

Going to a psychiatrist and/or therapist when you're feeling mentally ill/hurt should be as normal as going to a doctor when you're physically ill/hurt. Checkups included.
