I cried a lot in this scene, definitely one of my favourites because shows that after all, they will always love each other..

now I can finally say the moment that gutted me MOST in is when he tells her he's taking the residency at UCLA and they just stare at each other in this silent yearning realization that they ALMOST could have stayed together if they'd only gotten the timing right

this scene was so realistic, painful and powerful. scarlett and adam did so damn good job, all those emotions that they transmitted to me in those two hours wow. .. I cried from beginning to end.

scarlett johansson delivers a six minute monologue in which her character cries, sniffs, blows her nose, walks around, eats and laughs and to that i have only two words: academy award.

is Painfully Real. Beautiful. Its achingly realistic that most of the frames and dialogues just hit you straight. Charlie and Nicole, are mostly what you see in Many of the After Happy Endings. The concept of " You never loved me as Much as I did " is what it is.

Scarlett Johansson can make a six minutes monologue where her character is walking around, crying, sniffing, laughing and even eating, without forgetting or improvising a single word of the script, if this does not deserve an Oscar I dont know what it does.

yes, Adam Driver singing "Being Alive" is moving. but once you know the context and history of that song, you just can't unsee allllll the layers of those few musical minutes. it might change how you feel about altogether. my analysis:

I thought I made it through without crying. Just enjoying as the complexity built and the fighting escalated but then they got me right at the end of the movie.

love as much, hate as much — strangers to lovers to husband and wife to father and mother to strangers to friends — in the end, relationships couldn’t be divided into just love and hatred; they’re circle, cycle, and infinite.

the last 15 minutes in is emotionally wrecked me. it was painfully real because both of them finally realize they could’ve been together, that life is exactly the way they wanted it to be rn EXCEPT it was too late if only they got the timing right ;;;;
