That seems to encapsulate one side of the race pretty well. Kennedy being proactive and his detractors misrepresenting him for it, while Ed Markey does nothing so those same people can fill the vacuum he created with a faux-progressive profile.

Engaging in digital punditry for a moment to say that is the most-interesting, least-covered digital story going on rn. Two senate campaigns that are Good Online ™️ in their own ways

“The real reason for Kennedy's run is that he is currently the most prominent scion of a famously rich, powerful, and well-connected family, and a Senate seat is simply the next rung on the ladder of ambition.“

While his opponent is busy cultivating a meme personality to sell merchandise, JK3 has been on the front lines of the COVID19 pandemic. It’s why labor is with Kennedy and why the choice for couldn’t be clearer on September 1st.

I kinda need another poll in my bloodstream. The last one had Kennedy leading among 18-44 but Markey leading among 45+. I need a crosstab like that to give me that buzz

Maybe Bernie Sanders doesn’t think Ed Markey is worth endorsing. Bernie served with Markey in the House for over two decades where he saw Markey support just about every reactionary policy we praise Bernie for trying to stop.

Remember when campaigned against Ayanna bc he went to school w/Cap’s sons—or against Rachael Rollins because Henning was also a Buckingham Browne & Nichols alum? As a wealthy frat boy, JKIII prefers his old-boys over who’s best to serve public.

Thank you, Ed! But how about trying to get Vote By Mail passed first so we can protect voters? Once January rolls around you’ll have some extra time on your hands so you can advocate for RCV all you want.

The primary is viewed as a left vs right race, which rly isn’t true. They both have progressive and moderate backers. The endorsement line-up is much more a reflection of disconnect between the two chambers as Kennedy has more support in the House and Markey in the Senate.
