Today marks the second anniversary of the Finsbury Park terror attack. We remember Makram Ali & the innocent Londoners who were targeted. This attack was an assault on our shared values of freedom & respect, but London stood united against hate - as we always will.

We will never forget the bravery of our emergency services who ran towards danger to protect us during the Westminster terror attack two years ago. Today I laid a wreath in honour of PC Keith Palmer, who gave his life while protecting our Parliament.

Replying to @MayorofLondon
This was not only an attack on London, but an attack on the values and freedom that we all enjoy. Londoners responded by standing united in defiance – and that’s why those who seek to divide and destroy our way of life will never succeed.

Great to visit Brixton Hill Islamic Centre to hear about the work of the centre in supporting young people training, personal development and educational tuition classes. It is important to reassure the Muslim community in light of the recent terrorist attacks

Finsbury Park terrorist attack two years ago was another attempt to breed hatred & division in our city. We are steadfast in our disgust at the motivation of the attack. We remember our dear friend Mr Akram Ali RIP against attacks on our diverse and tolerant city.
