Thank you, Jeremy for REALLY caring about our armed forces. remember that soldiers were sent to Iraq without adequate body armour and their relatives bought it for them. This is a terrible blot on our legacy.

Last Friday, our 🇦🇺 Office of the Air Attaché attended a Bakers Creek Memorial Service to commemorate the 40 🇺🇸 American Soldiers & Airmen killed when an American B-17C crashed outside of Mackay in 1943 (one of 🇦🇺’s greatest loss of life in an aircraft accident).

Bit emotional this morning as we have been to visit the American War Cemetery at Omaha Beach. The children were quiet, respectful and peaceful.. we joined together to say the Lord’s Prayer in memory of them. 🇺🇸❤️🙏🏻 xx

OTD: The last day Of the 68000 Anglo-Allied armed forces, there were 17000 military casualties, 3,500 killed outright, 3,300 missing and over 10,000 wounded. This compared with French losses of at least 24000 killed and up to 8000 soldiers captured
