Tonight we docked our ship and hit submit on our first draft of this journey of writing our book on women in educational leadership with the Lead Like a Pirate series. We would like to thank the women who included their voice on our sail! ☠️☠️.

A powerful message today. I think many are scared, stressed, and nervous to serve and lead right now. I would encourage those that are struggle with this to know that you are needed more than ever right now! Be brave!

We used to talk about the negative effects of over scheduled kids. But now we don’t recognize the independence skills our students have developed since March? This school year let’s focus on the assets our students developed, not learning loss.

Time and time again, we limit ourselves by our self talk and the internal doubts we have. It’s time to let go of it and reach for heights you never imagined were possible!

We must ask ourselves how long we are willing to stand by and allow this broken system to remain in existence. As you continue moving forward on this journey, if you haven't already, start to consider your own role in dismantling it.

TA: I continue to benefit from systemic racism and the policies that keep reinforcing the systems that have been built. All of us witness it daily, whether we are white of BIPOC. We just need to open our eyes and pay attention

This is my other son & his dad. Several times a week conditioning athletes in the community- for free - because he wants them to have the same opportunities he has had. Teaches them how to train, care for their bodies, out of the goodness of his heart.
