Minutes before was killed, he’d reportedly tried to stab a truck driver who’d seen McDonald breaking into vehicles. The man — who is expected to testify — told the Tribune he threw dirt and then his cell phone at McDonald to protect himself.

Pray for justice. Pray for Chicago. If one’s perception of justice escapes them, pray for peace & safety on the streets. Riots in LA ‘65, Detroit ‘67; Chicago ‘68; LA in ‘95 involved injustice in policing among other things. Let’s not have a Chicago ‘18.

But if history serves us, so was the /LAPD trial in LA 20+ years ago. I believe that is on an explosive brink. The outcome of this trial will determine the mayoral election in FEB, as well as NOV. elections if it’s over by then.

One Black juror, an edited dash cam video that doesn't show the 16 shots going into from officer , a misplaced first-degree murder charge; no need for a change of venue, the deck's stacked for an acquittal.

I don’t think he’ll be found not guilty but if he were the city of Chicago will riot. They’re gonna trash this place.

Jason Van Dyke attorney said jurors were exposed to protests this morning. That's not true. First, the jurors do not enter through the main entrance. Second, there were no protesters this morning.

1/ Chicago is 32 percent African-American but only one of the jurors in the trial of the police officer who killed is African-American. How many African-American jurors did the defense strike?

Prosecutors dismiss four of the six murder counts in the trial of the police officer who killed . It’s not unusual for prosecutors to re-evaluate the strength of their case shortly before trial, as they meet with and prepare witnesses.

First bullet to the head. Second to the neck. The rest were for sport. 's aim was masterful. He knew was dead. What type of rage allows for 16 shots? Or, is it treating a black boy as an indestructible monster?
