Interesting “under the skin” look at the S-duct that connects engine number 2 inlet at the top of the fuselage, to a triple-spool high bypass turbofan at the end. Early model 1011 by the lack of the famous frisbee fairing! Gorgeous jet!

I flew on Lockheed TriStars as a kid going between the East & West Coast. It had a distinctive look, with its 3 engines. 250 were built between 1968 and 1984. Enjoy this remembrance from the archives.
