Great advice from - it's the same for us in Medway. Dog waste can be disposed of in any public litter bin - or dispose in your household waste at home. £100 fine for anyone caught not clearing up after their dogs.

Do you know that only 1 in 400 coffee cups are recycled in the UK? They are made from a complex mixture of paper and plastic that is difficult to separate. Why not follow Betty and George’s lead and take your own reusable cup on outings?

You can place bagged and tied dog waste bags in any public litter bins (if there is not a dog bin available) Or take home and place in your black bin for incineration (energy from waste) There is no such thing as the dog poo fairy

Run a business? Move waste items associated with that business? You must have a Waste Carrier Licence (WCL). Apply for one from the Env Agency. If you hire another business to take your trade waste, they must also have a WCL.

Beware of rogue traders posing as legitimate waste disposal companies. They’ll charge you to take your waste away and then fly tip it. Before hiring a waste disposer, ask for their Waste Carrier Licence.
