All day I’ve wondered what to say about the news regarding Grenfell. I’m so very very sorry that survivors, the bereaved, the residents are being let down again by”the establishment” it truly makes me feel sick.We don’t forget&we will continue to demand 💚🌹

Kit Malthouse revealed during a members’ session in Parliament that out of the 180+ people and families of , 15 are still in hotels. In a month and a day, it’ll be 2 years since we watched in horror, as 72 people died, and some are still missing.

Two years on and Grenfell stands as a symbol of Tory Britain, where profit is always put before people, where the govt is desperate to stop the truth being told about the price we pay for cuts, where austerity kills.

2 years ago today my cousin was taken away from us in the most tragic way. She was just a child. 72 lives gone due to nelglect. 2 years on and still no one has been held accountable. 2 years on council homes around the UK are STILL unsafe to live in. Seriously?

As well as an issue of class, it appears inaction to safeguard Grenfell residents & support survivors after was also an issue of race.

On 14 June 2017, a terrible awful fire started in the Grenfell Tower in London. Shockingly, it claimed the lives of 72 men, women & children. More than 70 others were injured too, in the worst residential fire since World War Two. Today we remember them all.

Feeling very reflective today. I was part of an emergency response team that responded on the day of the fire. I look back in awe of the community & its resilience, but I also feel angry that there are many still waiting for support 2 years on.
