I can cover it tonight, but again I'm spending part of my day off trying to sort it out / scrambling to get ready for an impromptu nightshift. Are any other trainees having persistent rota problems? (2/2)

“There’s nothing else you could have done” some of the kindest words a colleague can give you, and very underrated. Comfort your fellow doctors, let them know when they’ve done a good job. A little comment like that goes a long way.

moan alert. For the second time in 2 months I'm mistakenly down to work a night shift. I'm a trainee (80%) and this is happening every set of weekday on calls. (1/2)

Disgruntled NHS Worker Apr 19
If someone states that "someone is out to get them", it is said to be paranoia. Yet, doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers work in fear- the GMC, NMC, other consultants etc are out to get them. How is this healthy?

Exams are stressful. Postgraduate exams are not easy. It can be demoralising to find out you have failed an exam especially if you have worked for it. Should junior doctors be given some time off/ some moral support after failing an exam?

It’s a sad state of affairs when a group of medics sit down to compare what we are doing after F2 and for everyone to say ‘I wish I had that job’ when talking about one that was 30-40% clinical. Does that mean we feel overworked right now? Probably.

A must read thread for anyone interested in haematology, anyone who prescribes blood products () or may prescribe them in the future (), and in fact anyone interested in the challenges of pitting medical logic against medical evidence.
