Sol Pais was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound a half-mile from Echo Lake Park in Jefferson County, Colorado. It was reported that the woman was found naked but this, according to authorities, is not true.

A trooper rescued a man from a 30-foot sailboat that ran aground at Point Hudson in Port Townsend last night. The boat hit a sandbar about 150 yards from shore during low tide. The trooper was able to wade over to reach the man.
