Jason's cynicism is always impressive. In this month's parent newsletter he claims he "feels it is important that I make sure our community is informed about their choices on the ballot in a fair and balanced way." And then proceeds to spin as hard as he can.

2/ will string you along with inflated grades, until your scared child "graduates" with a diploma they know is worthless. 's game is that by the time you realize you've been played for a fool, you'll be too embarrassed to do anything.

Maybe because its payback time for the union that wasn't behind the Recall? Time for a big raise for "professional educators" (including the 1,130 who are chronically absent), despite 61% of 7th graders not meeting the state math std.

Just a coincidence that it is the Artic Area with the highest pct of free/reduced eligible students. Given their deep concern for equity, I'm sure ' progressive board, supe, and groups like wouldn't do this on purpose.

"The schools our students deserve?" students deserve schools where 1,130 teachers aren't chronically absent. They deserve schools where 61% of 7th graders don't fail to meet the state math std -- with no improvement since they were in 4th grade.

1/ parents: In 2015, 63% of 4th graders didn't meet state math stds. When they got to 7th grade, 61% still didn't meet them. Few of these kids will catch up and graduate college/career ready. But won't tell you that.
