I don't get it when people are upset France tried managing the game by wasting time. As much as I do not support what Mbappe did & he got a deserved yellow card, every team defend their lead by time wasting tatics. You only need to be wise about it. comes to mind.

On the Japan-Poland game last night: If you were the Japan coach, would you do the same thing? (Keep possession, and not trying at all to advance to the attacking third, knowing that a 0-1 defeat is enough to progress)

I've had 24hrs to process the game. I'm still pissed. For such a shame-based culture, they had no problem playing the odds and showing us the most embarrassing 10 minutes of World Cup competition. I secretly hoped Senegal would score a goal to throw off the tie breaker.

Japan's mission was R16 so nothing wrong holding possession & refusing to attack to prevent conceding another goal. Matildas did exactly that vs Japan at the last Asian Cup! The flaw is simultaneous matches. There's a thing called the internet now. We can keep updated.

It's just stupid to suggest that Japan should have risked elimination for no reason other than your entertainment. FIFA made the rules. If it hadn't been decided by cards, it would have been a coin toss, and you'd have complained about that too.

After what had done yesterday in game, it's the highest level of irony that they are advancing to knockout by fair play rule.

For Poland, Goaliski made good saves, Denfenderski was OK, Midfielderski was a bit off the pace but Forwardski scored and that was that.

To be fair, the Fair Play Points were made public long before the tournament. Senegal weren't demonised for fair play anyway, yes they got criticised for squandering chances but Japan were ripped apart even by their own press for their disgraceful showing at the end of
