I spent 2.5 yrs in . I killed. I had friends die & get hurt. I laughed a lot. I cried some. I saw things I'll always remember & others I desperately want to forget. I helped shape policy at the White House. But, after 16 yrs, I'm still not sure I can make sense of any of it.
