Southern Indian Ocean cyclone season has been extremely active. The 11 storms which reached Major Hurricane strength (Cat. 3+) is the most in the basin since at least 1980 & the 13 hurricanes ties 1989, 1994, 1996.

Right now South Eastern Africa is being hit by a 2nd huge Monsoon, the 1st in March killed 1000 people, mostly in - most of those people contributed next to nothing in terms of climate change gas production but 400k are homeless as result
