My babies were born in Sligo under Midwife and Nurse led care. I will never forget the kindness, support and professionalism I experienced. No one wants to strike, it's an absolute last resort. The government needs to wake up & listen

Seems like (almost) universal support for the Nurse's Strike—lovely to see so many enthusiastically backing the right side in a dispute. Looks like it might translate into renewed public support for organised labour v govt more generally ❤️

The fucking neck of any news reporter putting the guilt on nurses for cancelled appts. I've been at the pickets and nurses spend 2 hrs out then 2 hrs back in. The state is responsible. They have caused far more cancellations over the yrs than nurses striking.

⁩ ⁦@campaignforleo⁩ it’s NOT the fault.3 day strike didn’t cause this.479 empty consultant posts plays a huge role, these waiting lists are to see consultants who simple don’t exist! Please engage! ⁦

Nurses need our support now more than ever. Govt relying on public backlash to nurses strike to give them an excuse not to act.

Yes you sat in hideing after putting you foot in your mouth during Nurses strike. SIPTU has lost all it's nursing members and now the union use them to justify their action.

When I was a hospital chaplain, I saw the heroic sacrifices nursing staff make on duty night and day. They triage and treat everyone in difficult circumstances. As one patient said; "The only thing they take from a patient is a pulse..." Wishing nursing staff all the best

Is he real?!?!?! Let him work in the hospital and maybe he will realize the difference between nursing and office work. Dealing with people lives is really different from dealing with papers, if you get what I mean. 🤦‍♀️
