When we give of our time, talents+treasure to people in need, we receive a reward ourselves. The same system in our brain that releases dopamine in response to rewards like food, reaching a goal, sex, and exercise also releases dopamine when we give to others.

This last 2 years of has really done a number on my . I breathe deeper, I don't cough all time, I've gone from 2-3 colds/year to 1/year, I drink more water, I cut out alcohol, I'm losing weight at a healthy pace. You'd almost think it began a lifestyle.
