In case you don't understand what a hurricane landfall is like. Here's numbers from in last year. Over 5 days, 227 flood warnings and watches, 157 tornado warnings, 23 confirmed tornadoes, up to 60 inches of rainfall. It's still impossible to imagine, isn't it?

Did you know? ______________ That a slow moving is deadlier than the fast moving one? Why? Because fast moving hurricanes move inwards faster & dissipate faster. Whereas, more damage is done when the onslaught lingers. These are called stalled storms e.g. .

This is what I have been calling Phase B of ...the slow movement and stall = major flooding, falling trees, power outages for days...I think many underestimated Phase B in . This is why overemphasis on Category so flawed...
