So after reading all the bullshit criticisms from the movement, I went and saw myself yesterday and the movie is excellent and deserves our full support: 1. A Black woman directed, produced and stars in the movie.

I remember seeing a tweet a while ago about the movie . A tweet that mentioned how Harriet is a white saviour movie and even suggesting some kind of romance with her and a slave master. Bullshit! Please go watch Harriet. That woman damn sure holds her own throughout!

Saw . My big takeaway: If youโ€™re going to make a โ€œbiopicโ€ that has little to do with the historical record, then the least you can do is have the courage to turn her into a proper disabled action hero.

The character in pissed me the fuck off! The worst villian, also ficticious, is a Black man, a slave catcher... It is not a reason to not support this movie & furthermore the character reminds us โ€œself hate is the worst hate.โ€โ€

I saw the movie Harriet last night with Rashid! Harriet Tubman traveled over 100 miles to freedom! Knowing the brutality of slavery she then went back South & freed over 800 slaves. It took black & white Americans to fight against slavery and ultimately end it!

The villain in the movie is a black man. The whitewashing by Black American writers is beyond shameful. Their own children will believe this nonsense.

All the actors are spot on with the exception of Fredick Douglas who should have a bigger role. Instead of going more in depth the ๐ŸŽž stays formulamatic like a made for ๐Ÿ“บ ๐ŸŽฅ. There has to be more details and danger on those journeys
