Lasting low temperatures and heavy snowfall in the south Norwegian mountains coincided with hatching in many nests this week. This dotterel from sits tight on the eggs while the snow piles up around the nest.

Our government have decided, against county level advice++, to allow building of 'a city' of 500 cabins ++ in the calving area of the largest population of alpine reindeer in Europe, ~8000 reindeer . Unbelievable
