Caol Ila finish has that great dry ashen note. I am back on the island and in the distillery tasting room ๐Ÿ•บ

Caol Ila 13yo is pure distillery character on the nose. Its subtle peat around strong fruit notes. It might be the work horse of the island but the product is anything but industrial

Caol Ila 13 is more intense and flavourful than the OB 12 imo

Some light, sweet fruit. Charred fruit. Salty and then peppery. Hard not to like. Very Moreish.

Caol Ila 13 palate, WOW opposite way round from nose for me, bang of smoke then giving way to sweetness and fruit, perfect dram. Fantastic example of a Caol Ila, and I've had a few!

Thanks Steve. Great fun, yet again and brilliant to be in touch with so many great palettes from so many places. Iโ€™m going to have a little cheese and then enjoy the leftovers. Thank you for including me - and goodnight everyone.
